5-year implementation of this project will be done using SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) Implemented evidence-based strategies that addressed those goals in their communities and participated in an evaluation of the initiative.
Expanding beyond alcohol prevention efforts in APP & ASAPP, PIPP allows communities to also address a secondary high priority substance of abuse and misuse identified through assessment data.
Individual and Environmental Strategies
Some Environmental Strategies utilized: Training and empowerment, media campaigns, coalition building, social host liability, retail beverage server training, positive social norms.
Communities developing and implementing sustainable outcome-based prevention strategies.
Goals
Reduce binge drinking among young adults ages 18-25 years old
Reduce heavy drinking among young adults ages 18-25 years old
