2020 COVID-19 Relief Impact

Thanks to the support of our generous COVID-19 Grantor, Latino Community Fund of Georgia, and the many organizations, individuals and volunteers invested in our efforts for granting us funds and other vital supports to struggling families in our community.

On April 3, 2020, Unidos Latino Association launched our COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund to provide direct assistance to the Latin communities in Rockdale and Newton Counties, Georgia focusing on the most vulnerable, low-income to no-income, the undocumented, and those with Limited English Proficient.

The complexity of legal status, language barriers, and cultural specifiers led to areas of desolation and state of emergency in several regions across the state. This crisis is still defined by widespread unemployment, increasing eviction rates, and hunger affecting primarily Black Latinos, undocumented immigrants and English learners.
